The first step towards making a music video is thinking of ideas, genres and the narrative storyline.
Working in a group with Emma Maher made us think about what kind of songs we wanted to choose. We came up with the genre of
Indie/Rock themed. Below I have shown a diagrams which I got off of
www.uktribes.co.uk, which helped us make our decision for the genre.
We
decided to create a narrative video which means that we would have to shoot a story for the video rather than live from a group or band. We felt this would work better to give the listener or watcher a story to look at and something to relate the lyrics to, as well as showing our skills alike camera movement, angles, mise-en-scene and sounding.
