Photographic Shots

On our first day of filming, Emma deciede to take some photographs whilst I was filming the music video. This was not only to show the filming process but also to take photographs to see if any will be beneficial when designing and producing the CD cover.

Location Shots and Ideas

Both myself and Emma went to possible location shots in order to think about filming the part of the music video which is set in a subway. We looked all around Dartford, Kent. We both visited the Dartford Park and the subways in fleet estate. However, we were hopeful about the subways placed in Fleet Estate as we knew there were graffiti subways located there, but whenh we visited, we found that they had been painted over in white. This meant that we didnt want to use the subways anymore so decided we would use a location in London when we go there to film as this would be more beneficial.

Chosen Main Characters

MAIN MALE CHARACTER

Our chosen main character will be Sam. This is because we feel he fits the genre and is what we are looking for. We are hopeful to film the main male characters parts during the 29th December and 20th January, leaving lots of time as we need to visit multiple locations in London, Bexleyheath and others.

However, closer to the time of filming, we reliased that Sam was involved in work placements several times a week for a multiple amount of hours. This meant we could not use him as he was not free when we were.

UPDATE

On the day of filming, Sam pulled out of helping us with the music video, not only because of work commitments but of financial issues of traveling to London multiple times. Because of this we had to find a replacement. Our main character now is Charlie. Charlie fits the brief well and is a suitable candidate for the music video.

We found that Charlie was a brilliant actor to be used and he performed brilliantly. We had a few problems with work commitments but everyone our age now works so it was a difficult situation for us.



MAIN FEMALE CHARACTER

We chosen Megan to be our main female character as Megan lived the road next to us and is free constantly to be filmed. We began Megan's filming on Tuesday 20th December 2011 and filmed the scene where she is by herself upset in her bedroom.

Problems

During the dates of 29th January to the 4th February, we prepared for filming in London to try and film as much as we could. However, our first problem was that our main character, who we chose to be "Sam" pulled out and said he couldn't do it anymore. This meant that the days of filming were to be canceled and we would have to find someone else which was our biggest problem.
UPDATE
We found another person which we felt would be beneficial to the music video. In the end, we chose another one of our possible main characters. This person is "Charlie" and we decided to get filming straight away, commencing on Sunday 8th January 2012.
